2. Description of Service

GitConnect is a voice-powered code editor that integrates with GitHub. The Service allows you to:

• Browse and edit files in your GitHub repositories
• Use voice commands for code editing
• Generate code using AI assistance
• Commit changes directly to GitHub

3. Account Registration

To use GitConnect, you must:

• Have a valid GitHub account
• Authorize GitConnect to access your repositories
• Be at least 13 years of age
• Provide accurate information

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activities under your account.

4. Subscription and Payments

Free Tier

Free users may use GitConnect with their own API keys for Deepgram and Anthropic.

Pro Subscription

• Pro subscription is billed monthly at the rate displayed at checkout
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• You may cancel at any time through the billing portal
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

Usage Limits

Pro subscriptions include usage limits for API calls. Exceeding limits may result in temporary service restrictions until the next billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Use the Service to generate malicious code
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
• Use automated tools to abuse the Service
• Violate GitHub's Terms of Service

6. Intellectual Property

Your Code

You retain all rights to the code you create, edit, or commit using GitConnect. We claim no ownership of your repositories or code.

AI-Generated Code

Code generated by AI assistants (Claude) is provided as-is. You are responsible for reviewing and testing any AI-generated code before use.

Our Service

GitConnect, its logo, and related intellectual property are owned by us. You may not use our branding without permission.

7. Third-Party Services

GitConnect relies on third-party services including GitHub, Deepgram, Anthropic, and Stripe. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Accuracy of AI-generated code
• That the Service will meet your specific requirements
• Security of data transmitted through third-party services

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data or code
• Damages from AI-generated code
• Service interruptions or downtime

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Non-payment of subscription fees
• At our discretion with reasonable notice

You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and ceasing to use the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of material changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
